Returns & Refund Policy
We take great pride in crafting high-quality, durable stained glass. Because art glass is uniquely fragile and handmade, we have policies to protect both our studio and your artwork!
1. Damaged on Arrival (Shipping Insurance)
The Pendulum insures all of our outgoing shipments. If your artwork arrives broken or damaged in transit, please notify us within 24 hours to 7 days of delivery.
To qualify for a replacement or full refund, email us clear photos of both the broken artwork and the shipping box/packaging.
Please keep the box or wrapping materials, as the shipping carrier will require them to process the insurance claim.
2. Buyer’s Remorse & Ready-Made Items
If you simply change your mind or decide an item does not fit your space, we accept returns on non-custom, ready-made pieces within 14 days of delivery under the following conditions:
15% Restocking Fee: All approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your final refund. This covers our administrative time, inventory updates, and careful structural inspection of the returned glass.
Return Shipping & Tracking: The customer is entirely responsible for paying out-of-pocket return shipping costs and providing a tracking number.
Mandatory Insurance (For Items Over $100): If the retail value of your returned item is over $100, you must purchase additional shipping insurance at the post office or UPS store to cover the full value of the art. (Note: Standard USPS/UPS services automatically include the first $100 of insurance for free).
3. What Happens if a Return Arrives Broken?
We will issue a refund (minus the 15% restocking fee) if the artwork arrives back at our studio in original condition and unbroken
If you mail an item back to us and it shatters in transit, we will not be able to issue you a refund.
Instead, we will provide you with photos of the damaged box and glass so that you can file a claim with your shipping carrier to recover your money.
4. Custom Commissions
All custom orders and personalized designs require a non-refundable deposit and are strictly final sale. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on custom work once production has begun.
